The Dymocks Children's Charities is an Australian-wide, tax-deductible charity. Formerly know as the Dymocks Literacy Foundation the The Dymocks Children's Charities was established in 2001 to raise funds in order "to help kids read and write more effectively".

The Dymocks Literacy Foundation was re branded the The Dymocks Children's Charities in July 2009 however our core mission remains the same "to inspire young minds through the power of reading".

Late in 2009 the The Dymocks Children's Charities had a complete change of staff whose first priority is to develop a strategic plan to take the work of the The Dymocks Children's Charities forward.

Part of the new plan is to redevelop our website and we ask for your patience during this period. In the interim can we invite you to consider our two major fundraising events

Dymocks Children's Charities Golf Day 2010 and

Dymocks Children's Charities Great Debate 2010.

Come join us for a great day on the green at our Annual Golf Day on 18 March 2010 at Twin Creeks Golf & Country Club at Luddenham. It’s a great golf course and with our special celebrity guests and prizes to be won throughout the day, it is one not to be missed.

For $185 per person (or $740 for a team of four) you will enjoy an all inclusive day with 18 holes of golf, lunch, shared electric golf cart, complimentary range balls and a Dymocks Children’s Charities Cap.

The Great Debate will be held this year on 10 June 2010 at Dockside, Darling Harbour.This year's topic is 'Children's Literature is Childs play!" and will be hosted by the hilarious Rob Carlton and debated by our celebrity guests including Adam Spencer, Anh Do and Rhys Muldoon.

Tickets are $200 per person or $2,000 for a table of ten and includes canapés, 3 course dinner and alcohol. There will also be a chance to bid on our fantastic auctions items throughout the night.

Thank you, with the help of Dymocks franchise owners and our volunteers, we raised over $10,000 through our Christmas Wrap fundraiser. 24 Dymocks stores participated with our volunteers and Dymocks staff wrapping gifts for a gold coin donation to Dymocks Children’s Charities. The money raised with help us undertake important children’s literacy projects.
