Deputy Premier of Queensland acknowledges special gift to flood affected schools.

On Monday 14 November, Dymocks Children’s Charities presented Milton Public School with a donation of $10,000 worth of books.
This special presentation was attended by the QLD Deputy Premier, Andrew Fraser as well as our Dymocks Franchise Owners Jon Welsh, Dymocks Brisbane and Byron Butler, Dymocks Indooroopilly.
Milton State School was the first of two schools to be the recipient of a special gift following last Januarys’ floods.

Another $10,000 worth of books was donated to Withcott State School, near Toowoomba in the Lockyer Valley on Tuesday 15 November with thanks given from the local Mayor Cr Steve Jones.
Dymocks Children’s Charities was joined on the day by local franchise owner Ted Dobbs and Sarah from Dymocks Toowoomba.
Roslyn Stemmler, teacher librarian at Withcott SS was overwhelmed to be able to select any books she wanted for the school, “In 27 years of teaching I’ve never seen such a generous gesture, a great positive after the worst disaster in Queensland’s history”.
