Lit Club 4 Kids: The Kindness Project Wrap Up

Our kids book club just finished reading The Kindness Project by Deborah Abela, and what a journey it’s been! This heartwarming story has inspired us to think about how small acts of kindness can create significant changes.

We were also thrilled to have an exclusive Q&A with Deborah Abela, where she shared insights into the inspiration behind the story and gave us a behind-the-scenes look at her writing process. It was a unique opportunity for members to connect with the author and dive deeper into the book!

Even though we’re wrapping up this read, let’s keep that spirit of kindness alive and carry it forward into our next adventure.

Make a Real Impact with Our Corporate Volunteering Program

Dymocks Children's Charities invites corporate teams to participate in a rewarding, hands-on volunteering experience that directly supports children's literacy across Australia.

Your team will spend the day at our Sydney office assembling Book Bank packs—sorting, auditing, and packing brand-new books that will go directly to children who need them most. It's a simple yet powerful way to make a difference, all while strengthening team bonds and giving back in a meaningful way.

Beyond the hands-on work, you'll hear firsthand about your support's impact on children's education and future success. We'll also provide morning tea and lunch, ensuring a fulfilling and engaging experience from start to finish. By participating, your business will be directly helping to improve literacy rates and inspire a love of reading among children who need it most.

Corporate volunteering days run from 26 May to 26 June, on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Spots are limited, and bookings close on 11 April, 2025. To learn more and secure your team's place, contact us here!

Take a Look: 2024 Year In Review

We’ve accomplished so much together this past year at Dymocks Children’s Charities. Thanks to your incredible support, over 63,000 books were delivered to more than 45,000 children, helping to improve literacy and spark a lifelong love of reading and learning.

In 2024, our literacy programs created lasting change:

Library Regeneration transformed under-resourced libraries into inspiring learning spaces.

Book Bank provided books to children to keep who might not otherwise have access to them.

Lit Club 4 Kids connected over 1,700 young readers to exciting stories and new authors.

But behind every number is a story of a child discovering their new favourite book, a library transformed into a vibrant hub for learning, and a school empowered to foster a love of reading in every student. These moments are what make our work so meaningful.

We encourage you to explore our 2024 Year in Review here to learn more about the lives you’ve helped change. Your support makes a world of difference, and we can’t wait to continue this vital work with you in the year ahead.
