Could your school library benefit from a boost of brand-new books?

The Library Boost Project is an exciting fundraising concept that allows schools and individuals to fundraise for new books for their own school libraries, while also supporting the most disadvantaged schools across Australia.

Why this project is mission critical:

1 in 6 Australian children and young people are living in poverty.^

These children often do not have access to good books, either at school or at home. Our mission is to ensure that all children have access to good books, regardless of their circumstances.

For every dollar that is raised through your fundraising, Dymocks Children’s Charities will match the donation to provide Library Regeneration Programs to some of the most disadvantaged schools in Australia.

So while your school fundraises to boost your own library, you will be supporting Dymocks Children’s Charities to provide brand-new books and literacy programs to schools in need. Win-win!

Getting involved is super easy!

Host a fundraising event

The best part about the Library Boost Project is that it’s completely customisable! That means you can hold any fundraising event you would like, all while making an amazing difference to schools in need across Australia.

You could organise a read-a-thon, morning tea or fun-run. Some popular ideas for schools include mufti days, sausage sizzles or school reading challenges… the possibilities are endless!

Choose your new books

For school fundraisers, once you have hosted your event and reconciled your fundraising, you can now choose books for your school library to the value of your fundraising, and Dymocks Children’s Charities will do the same for a school in need.

So, if you raise $1,000, your school can choose $1,000 worth of books, and a school in need will also receive $1,000 worth of books. How cool is that! For individuals, you’ll double your impact with 100% of the fundraising going to a school in need.
