Volunteering
At Dymocks Children’s Charities, volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Your time, skills, and passion help us bring the joy of reading to children who need it most. There are many ways to get involved in supporting children’s literacy, whether you want to volunteer your time, contribute your professional skills, or take part as part of a workplace team.
Volunteering with Dymocks Children’s Charities is flexible and can range from hands-on support to structured corporate programs, giving you different ways to make an impact.
Every volunteer helps us improve access to brand-new books for children across Australia.
Ways to Volunteer
There are several ways to volunteer depending on your time, skills, and interests.
General Volunteering
General volunteering is a flexible way to support our work through activities such as book packing, gift wrapping, event support, and other hands-on opportunities throughout the year.
Ideal for individuals looking for casual or one-off volunteering opportunities that help improve children's literacy across Australia.
Corporate Volunteering
Corporate volunteering is a structured team experience designed for workplaces. Teams take part in hands-on activities such as book auditing and packing at our Sydney CBD office.
It’s a meaningful way to bring your team together while supporting children’s literacy outcomes.
Skilled Volunteering
Skilled volunteering allows you to contribute your professional expertise to strengthen our programs and operations.
We welcome experience in areas such as marketing, communications, IT, administration, and program support.
Where You Can Volunteer
Our Head Office is based in Sydney CBD, where many of our volunteering opportunities, including corporate volunteering days, take place.
We also offer a range of volunteering opportunities throughout the year, including gift wrapping in Dymocks stores, event support, and other program activities. Locations vary depending on the opportunity and availability.
