Dymocks Children’s Charities Design Competition 2026
Dymocks Children’s Charities invites students from our literacy program schools across Australia to take part in a design competition celebrating the joy of reading.
We’re looking for inspiring, imaginative artwork that captures what reading means to young minds. Whether it’s adventure, friendship, learning, comfort, or creativity, we want to see your unique interpretation brought to life.
Design Guidelines
Create an original design that celebrates the joy of reading and what books mean to you. Whether reading is an adventure, a place to dream, a source of comfort, or a way to connect and learn, we encourage students to explore their own unique interpretation.
Our judges will be looking for designs that stand out through:
Creativity – original ideas and imaginative thinking.
Colour – engaging and visually appealing artwork.
Theme – a strong connection to reading, books, and literacy.
Designs may be hand-drawn or digitally created and uploaded as high-resolution images.

Prizes
Student Prize:
1st Prize: $100 Dymocks Children’s Charities booking order website voucher
2nd Prize: $50 Dymocks Children’s Charities booking order website voucher
3rd Prize: $25 Dymocks Children’s Charities booking order website voucher
School Prize:
Every valid student entry gives the nominated school one (1) entry into a draw to win $500 Dymocks Children’s Charities booking order website voucher.
The more students who enter from a school, the more chances that school has to win.
One winning school will be selected at random following the close of the competition.
