Celebrating Partnerships That Change Lives

For two decades, The Westport Club and Dymocks Children’s Charities have worked together to improve literacy outcomes for children across the Port Macquarie region, helping more students access quality books and meaningful reading experiences.

Through the support of Dymocks Children’s Charities’ Book Bank, Library Regeneration and Inspired Readers Festival programs, The Westport Club has helped provide 16,860 brand-new books to 12,813 children, strengthening school libraries, inspiring young readers and creating opportunities for students to connect with stories and authors.

Anthony Westman, General Manager of The Westport Club, said the Club was proud to support initiatives that create lasting benefits for local children and families.

“We’re incredibly proud to partner with Dymocks Children’s Charities to bring more books into the hands of local students,” Anthony Westman said.

“By investing in literacy, we’re helping to open doors, spark imagination and create brighter futures for children across our community.”

Dymocks Children’s Charities General Manager Melanie Smith said the partnership highlights the impact that can be achieved when organisations come together to support children’s literacy.
