National Simultaneous Storytime 2026

Dymocks Children’s Charities is supporting the Australian Library and Information Association’s (ALIA) National Simultaneous Storytime 2026 (NSS 2026), helping eligible schools take part in Australia’s biggest shared reading event.

Through our Literacy Program, we are providing eligible schools in the lowest ICSEA quartile with copies of this year’s official book, Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller.

NSS is one of Australia’s most beloved annual reading events, bringing together millions of children, families, libraries, schools, and early learning centres to share the same story at the same time nationwide. This support ensures that schools with limited resources can participate with their own copies of the story, helping students engage in a shared reading experience, celebrate literacy, and foster a love of reading.
