Thousands of New Books Reach Children Across the Torres Strait with AMP Foundation's Support

Thousands of brand-new books are reaching children across the Torres Strait, helping schools and communities provide more opportunities for children to discover the joy of reading.

Through our partnership with the AMP Foundation, we're delivering our Book Bank and Library Regeneration programs across the region, supporting more than 2,000 students, including those attending Tagai State College's 17 campuses.

Earlier this year, volunteers from AMP generously gave their time to audit, label, sort and pack thousands of books, helping prepare them for delivery to some of Australia's most remote communities.

This work is part of our ongoing commitment to improving access to books and literacy resources for children in regional and remote Australia. By working alongside schools, communities and partners, we're helping ensure more children have access to books both at school and at home.

A huge thank you to the AMP Foundation and all the AMP volunteers who have helped make this possible.
