Celebrating 15 Years of Partnership with Perth Airport
We are proud to celebrate a remarkable milestone: 15 years of partnership between Perth Airport and Dymocks Children's Charities, working together to support children’s literacy.
Since 2010, Perth Airport has generously supported our mission by funding brand-new books to schools across the Perth Airport estate. Their support has helped ensure students have access to quality reading resources and the opportunity to thrive. Together, we have contributed more than $100,000 worth of brand-new books to schools, supporting library regeneration and inspiring a love of reading for thousands of children.
For Perth Airport, this partnership is about more than just books; it’s about opening doors to opportunity.
Anna Dickie, Community and Partnerships Program Manager at Perth Airport, said: “By supporting children’s literacy in our area, we are inspiring learning and opening a world of possibilities for our local children. Seeing the difference access to books makes in children’s lives continues to inspire our ongoing support.”
Dymocks Children’s Charities General Manager Melanie Smith reflected on the impact and longevity of the partnership: "15 years of continuous support is something truly special. Perth Airport has stood beside us in ensuring children not only have books, but the chance to build confidence and a lifelong love of reading".
One of the highlights each year on the school calendar is Book Week, when Perth Airport representatives attend school assemblies and experience firsthand the excitement that reading brings to students. These moments reflect the heart of the partnership, community connection, shared joy, and the belief that every child deserves the chance to discover the power of stories.
Long-term partnerships like this demonstrate the powerful impact that sustained community investment can have over time. By consistently supporting literacy initiatives, Perth Airport is helping children build confidence, imagination, and lifelong learning skills.
When asked what they would say to other organisations considering support, they shared: “We’d encourage any organisation to support Dymocks Children’s Charities. Their programs are impactful, well-run, and directly help improve literacy outcomes. It’s a partnership that not only supports education but also strengthens communities for the long term.”
We are incredibly grateful for Perth Airport’s generosity, commitment, and belief in the importance of literacy. 15 years is a remarkable milestone, and we look forward to continuing to create opportunities for children together for many years to come.
