National Simultaneous Storytime 2026

Dymocks Children’s Charities is proud to support the Australian Library and Information Association’s (ALIA) National Simultaneous Storytime 2026 (NSS 2026) through our School Support Program, helping eligible schools take part in one of Australia’s most inspiring shared reading events.

National Simultaneous Storytime is a much-loved annual initiative that brings together millions of children across the country to read the same book, at the same time. Celebrated in schools, libraries, and early learning centres nationwide, NSS is a powerful moment of connection, highlighting the joy of storytelling and the importance of literacy.

As part of our commitment to improving access to books for children who need them most, Dymocks Children’s Charities is providing eligible schools in the lowest ICSEA quartile with two copies of this year’s official NSS book, Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller. This ensures that more students can participate in the experience with their own physical copies, creating a more engaging and inclusive reading experience.

By supporting participation in NSS 2026, we’re helping schools with limited resources join a nationwide celebration of reading, encouraging imagination, building confidence, and fostering a lifelong love of books.
