School Spotlight: St Mary’s Catholic School, Wellington NSW

St Mary’s Catholic School in Wellington, NSW has welcomed over 550 new fiction and non-fiction books into their library, supporting their 195 students and helping to ignite a love of reading across the school.

Teachers have noticed an incredible shift in student engagement. “Students who were hesitant to read, or said they didn’t like reading, have found books they love and keep coming back to the library for more,” shared the school librarian. Many students are now exploring new genres, requesting to cover books they are eager to read, and discovering stories they never would have picked up before.

The new books have brought the library to life. Students are reading more, borrowing more, and choosing to spend time exploring stories just for the fun of it, and the excitement shows in every corner of the library.
